Samal Report: TDP urges AP Governor to take action

Hyderabad, Sep 19 (UNI) The Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) led by former Home Minister T Devendar Goud today submitted a memorandum to state Governor N D Tiwari, urging him to take action against the ministers and officials whose names figured in former Vigilance Commissioner R C Samal's Report.

Talking to newsperons at Raj Bahavan, Mr Goud said the TDP had urged the Governor to peruse the report and take appropriate action against the persons mentioned in it.

Alleging that Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was not taking action against the persons mentioned in the report, he said the government and officials had colluded while awarding irrigation projects and mine works to contractors in the state.
