Poverty driven couple commit suicide in Bhuj

Bhuj, Gujarat, Sep 19 (UNI) Extreme poverty led a couple to commit suicide on the outskirts of Anjar town here today.

Police said that they recovered the bodies of Girish Devram Vegad (45) and his wife Manjulabel Vegad (40) from their hut this morning.

They also recovered an empty bottle of poison from the hut.

The couple hailing from this district had been jobless for a long time and had recently sent their two children to an orphanage run by the Arya Samaj at Gandhidham, sources said.

Police has registered a case of suicide and has sent the bodies to the government hospital for post-mortem.
