Probe into prisoner's death in MP

Jabalpur, Sep 19: District Collector Sanjay Dube has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the death of a young convict Gyandas lodged at the Central Jail here for seven years imprisonment in a dowry case.

Mr Dube said Gyandas, who hailed from Dindori, complained of severe stomach pain yesterday. After treating at jail hospital, he was being taken to the Victoria hospital when he died on the way.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mrs Vidisha Mukherjee will conduct the inquiry.
