Minor dead, 12 ill after consuming contaminated water

Barabanki, Sep 19 (UNI) A minor died, while 12 others took seriously ill after consuming contaminated water in Katra area of the district.

The deceased was identified as Magan (8), while six of the injured were reported critical.

According to sources, vomiting and diarrhoea had gripped the area after contaminated water was supplied during the past few days.

CMO Uma Kant Gupta said a medical team had been sent to the affected area, while water samples were being sent for checking.
