Hyderabad, Sep 19: Microsoft India Development Centre today launched 'BizTalk Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology, which was an innovative device management and event processing platform at the edge of enterprise.

Talking to newspersons here, Microsoft India Development Centre Corporate Vice-President Srini Koppolu said, ''Microsoft is upbeat on the RFID Technology and was looking for opportunities in government, finance and retail sectors for mass adoption of its new product.'' Stating that 25 Microsoft IT engineers had been working on developing the new technology for the last 30 months, he said the RFID was designed to allow all users to incorporate new technology into a variety of applications and workflows simply and easily.

''BizTalk RFID works well with existing line of business applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and more specialised vertical software,'' Mr Koppolu added.

Almost all major IT companies like Infosys, Wipro and TCS were the partners in the endeavour, he said, adding that the US-based Intellectual Global Pooling System (IGPS) and Japan-based Sushi Restaurant had already adopted the RFID Technology and were running their businesses successfully.
