Man strangulate wife, daughters: commits suicide

Belgaum, Sep 19 (UNI) A 44-year-old man, disturbed over his wife's illness, allegedly strangulated her and his two daughters to death before committing suicide by hanging himself in his house in Anjaneyanagar here last night.

Police said Uday Marutirao Desai was in a state of depression as he had spent lot of money for the treatment of his wife who suffered from anemea. He allegedly strangulated his wife Sandhya, twin daughters Sneha and Neha (9) with a nylon rope and hanged himself using the same rope.

The eldest daughter Kamala who was sleeping in another room saw the dead in the morning and alerted the neighbours, police said.
