Lashkar claims responsibility for attack on army convoy
Srinagar, Sep 19 (UNI) Pakistan-based militant outfit Lashkar-e- Toiba (LeT) has claimed responsibility for the ambush on an Army convoy on Srinagar- Leh national highway, in which a soldier was killed and 14 others injured.
Dr Abdullah Gaznavi, who identified himself as spokesman of the Lashker, in a telephonic statement to local mediapersons, said the ''mujahideen'' of the outfit carried out the attack.
He claimed ten soldiers were killed and 15 others were injured in the attack.
The spokesman warned of more such attacks in future.
However, a defence ministry spokesman said a soldier was killed and four others were injured.
