Grenades recovered from Guwahati-bound bus

Guwahati, Sep 19 (UNI) Three grenades and two detonators were recovered from a Guwahati-bound passenger bus in Rangiya in Kamrup (rural) district today.

Police said the explosives were kept in a bag in the bus. The recovery was made following a checking of the bus based on specific information.

The bus had originated in Nagrijuli, on the Indo-Bhutan border, and was on way to Guwahati.

It is not confirmed yet whether the grenades were meant for Guwahati.

Four people who were picked up on suspicion, were later released, police added.
