UP: Veteran freedom fighter Pt Gajanand dead

Jaunpur, Sep 18: Nonagenarian freedom fighter Pt Gajanand Pandey passed away here this morning.

He was 96.

Pt Pandey died at his house in Harihapur village of Chandvak area of this district.

The last rites of the deceased would be performed with full state honours at Manikarnika ghat of Varanasi today.

Meanwhile, former union home minister Swami Chinmayanand, former MP Kamla Prasad Singh and other leaders have expressed grief on his demise.
