Sub-inspector among two cops wounded in Doda encounter

Jammu, Sep 18 (UNI) One Special Task Force officer was among two policemen wounded in an ongoing encounter between militants and security forces at Bhaderwah in Doda of Jammu and Kashmir this morning, sources said.

A sub-inspector, identified as Shiv Kumar and his bodyguard Rajesh had sustained wounds in the joint operation of police and Rashtriya Rifle at Chinote, about two km from Bhaderwah town, sources said.

Both the wounded policemen were airlifted to Govt Medical College hospital, Jammu, sources informed, The encounter, which started at around 1030 hrs, was in progress till the last reports came in.
