South-West Monsoon active in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 18 (UNI) The South-West monsoon has been active over Kerala and rain occurred at many places in Lakshadweep.
The Local Met office said Karipur Airport, Manjeri and Koilandi received seven cm of rainfall each.
Pattambi received six cm of rainfall, followed by Kozhikode, Perinthalmanna and Chertala five cm each.
The Met office warned of isolated heavy rains in Kerala and Lakshadweep in the next 48 hours. It also said strong onshore winds from the westerly direction with speed occassionally reaching 45-55 kmph was likely along and off Kerala coast and Lakshadweep.
