Six EC teams in Gujarat to review election preparations

New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) The Election Commission (EC) has sent six teams to Gujarat to review progress of the ongoing preparation of electoral rolls, Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) and ''vulnerability mapping'' in the state.

According to EC sources, each team, comprising two members, will cover four districts. These teams will return and submit their report to the EC.

Besides, the Commission has also sought the state government's response on its directions issued few days ago regarding transfer of officials posted in their home district or who were posted at one place for more than three years.
