Reliance Fresh store vandalised

Indore, Sep 18 (UNI) Protesting the entry of big retail companies in the fruits and vegetables market, some people today vandalised Reliance Fresh store at Kanchanbag area here.

Police said some people reached the store at around 1200 hours and raised slogans and pelted stones breaking the windowpanes.

Police have arrested about 12 people in this connection.

Later, their supporters reached police station for courting arrest. Police were carrying out their arrest.

It was being reported that those who carried out ransacking were related to the Bharatiya Janshakti party.

Earlier, BJ President Uma Bharti had led a protest on September 16 and locked Reliance Fresh store.

Reliance Fresh had opened eight stores and plans to open 24 more stores in the city.
