Rains lashed Kolhapur; disrupted normal life

Kolhapur, Sep 18 (UNI) Moderate to heavy rains lashed Kolhapur city and many parts of the district for about three hours here today.

The rains, experienced this morning after the gap of a fortnight, disrupted normal life and vehicular traffic as low-lying areas were flooded with knee-deep water in many parts.

Meanwhile, standing crops like paddy and sugarcane, which are in their last stages of growth, will benefit from the rains.
