Prisoner attempts suicide at Sabarmati Central Jail

Ahmedabad, Sep 18 (UNI) A prisoner allegedly attempted suicide by cutting his wrists and consuming sleeping tablets at the Sabarmati Central Jail here this morning.

According to the Sabarmati Police, Nazir Ibrahim Chandani attempted to end his life by consuming 30 sleeping tablets and cutting his wrists.

Nazir, who hails from Junagadh district, was rushed to the civil hospital where his condition was stated to be out of danger.

Police has registered a case of suicide against Nazir and further investigations are on.
