Pakistani among 2 Lashkar militants killed in doda enccouter
Jammu, Sep 18 (UNI) A Pakistani 'section commander' of the Lashkar-e-Toiba outfit among two, were gun down today while two army personnel including a Major and two police personnel were wounded in an encounter at Bhaderwah in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir,official source said.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of police and 4 Rashtriya Rifles cordoned off a deserted house where in two Lashkar-e-Toiba militants,Rizwan of Pakistan and his local aide Shamsher had taken shelter,sources said.
Security forces tried to approach the suspected house, they were heavily fired upon and in following encounter both the ultras were killed, sources said.
Meanwhile an Army major identified as Vipul Deswal and another jawan, sub-inspector, Shiv Kumar Sharma and his bodyguard Rajesh, sustained wounds in the operation, sources told UNI.
Injured security personnel, were immediately airlifted to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu.
However, the encounter, which started at around 1030 hrs, ended at 1600 hrs.
