One-day Nagaland Assembly adjourned

Kohima, Sep 18 (UNI) The one-day session of the Nagaland Assembly, which began here today, adjourned sine die.

The session, which assembled in the New Assembly Secretariat complex for the first time, began with Obituary references.

The House observed two minutes' silence for the departed souls of former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar and former Nagaland Minister T Rothrong.

There was a question hour and announcement of Assent of Rules by the Governor, Laying of Rules by Home Minister Thenucho, Agriculture Minister Kuzholuzo and Minister of School Education Imkong Imchen.

The House also passed the Nagaland Municipal (Second Amendment) Bill, 2007 by voice votes.

After finishing all the business, Speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie adjourned the House sine die.
