NCC camp begins in Junagadh

Junagadh, Sep 18 (UNI) An all-India NCC camp has been organised here at the foothills of Girnar Taleti.

The camp, which commenced last Saturday, has over 1000 cadets from all across the country participating in it, Gujarat NCC directorate deputy director general Brig V S Toley informed.

Brig Toley, while speaking to UNI, said the cadets have come for the camp from 20 different states.

To a question, Brig Toley admitted that girls in Gujarat have not been very enthusiastic in joining the NCC so far. At present, of the total number of cadets in the NCC, only 23 per cent are girls, Brig Toley said but expressed confidence that their number will increase in the future.
