Media awards announced

Kozhikode, Sep 18 (UNI) 'Malayala Manorama' Malappuram staff photographer Manoj Chemenchery and freelance photographer Babeesh Chelavur were chosen for the Ramanujam award, instituted by city-based Light and Lens Academy (LLA).

Both of them bagged the first and second prizes, carrying cash prize of Rs 3,001 and Rs 2001 respectively, LLA Founder and Managing Director C Choyikutty said in a release here today.

Kerala Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem would present the award at a function here on September 22, the release added.
