Kerala planning to set up Veterinary University

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 18 (UNI) Kerala Civil Supplies Minister C Divakaran today told the state assembly that the government was planning to establish a Veterinary and Animal Science University in the state.

In a written reply to Mr C T Ahammed Ali (IUML), he said the government had received a detailed report in this regard from the expert committee, constituted for the purpose in 2005.

Mr Divakaran said the draft report was under the consideration of Finance and Law Departments.

The government was contemplating to set up the institute at Pookode Veterinary College campus in Wayanad district at the earliest, he added.
