JD(S)-BJP govt sets new benchmark in programme implementation: Min

Udupi, Sep 18 (UNI) The Janata Dal(S)-BJP coalition government in Karnataka had set a 'record' by implementing 95 to 98 per cent of the programmes as announced in the state budget during the last 19 months, Medical Education minister V S Acharya said today.

Speaking after attending development programmes in Basrur near here he said this was possible mainly due to mobilisation of more financial resources.

He said the government had taken steps to plug leakages in various departments, it mobilised additional financial resource to the tune of Rs. 3000 crore during September and October last year which made possible for provision of additional allocation of funds to launch new programmes.
