Mathura, Sep 18 (UNI) On the auspicious occasion of Anant Chaturdashi, the 'Krishna Nagri' of Mathura is all set to mark a new lesson in history with its very special 'chappan bhog' at the foothills of Giriraj Parvat.

For the occasion, a 'sone ka mahal' (golden palace), has been made for 'Thakurji' besides, adorning him with real jewels like diamond, pearl, panna, maadik, neelam and pukhraj.

It took five months for artists from Mumbai to prepare this temple, which will be placed on the man made 'Krishna vatika' at the foothills of Giriraj Parvat.

The Path leading to the grand bhog will be decorated with a variety of flowers that had been imported from all over the world, Giriraj Sewa Samiti directors Murari Agarwal and Dinanath said.

On September 25, the grand 'chhapan bhog' will be organised, where about 20 tonnes of 'prasad' made of cow milk and ghee will be offered to 'Nand Kishore'.

Meanwhile, cooks from Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Lucknow and Mumbai will showcase their cooking talent at the bhog.

Giriraj Sewa Samiti members Ramji Das, Pradeep Maheshwari, Pramil Garg, Girdhari Lal Shrauf, Murari Sharan Shrauf and Girish Chandra Agarwal have urged the devotees to come to the venue on September 25 and get blessings from Lord Krishna.
