Five killed in Truck-Jeep collision

Jodhpur, Sep 18: Five people, including a woman and two children, were killed and at least 18 people injured in a collision between a truck and a Jeep at Bandli village of Jodhpur district this morning.

The accident took place on the Jaisalmer-Jodhpur road.

Police said the jeep was carrying devotees returning after paying obeisance at the Ram Devra Samadi in Jaisalmer district. Police said the devotees belong to Uniyara village in Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh.

District Police Superintendent Hawa Singh Dhumriya said three people died on the spot while two succumbed to injuries later.
