Five killed in container-rickshaw collision

Jalgaon, Sep 18 (UNI) Five people were killed on the spot and another was injured when a container, loaded with iron pipes, collided with a rickshaw near Nashirabad on National Highway No 6, about six km from here today.

According to Nashirabad police, the villagers, occupants of the rickshaw, were killed when the container crushed their vehicle near Hotel Shalimar on the National highway at 1530 hrs.

Four of the dead were identified as Zaver (55), wireman, Asif ali Shaikh Rafik (30), Zakir Shaikh Razak (26) and Arif Ali Shaikh (26).

The injured rickshaw driver has been admitted to Jalgaon Civil hospital, police said.
