Conjoined twins born in Kanpur

Kanpur, Sep 18 (UNI) The birth of a pair of conjoined twins here has become the 'talk of town' in the industrial city of Uttar Pradesh.

Born to Rai Singh, a poor labourer of Sarsaiyya area, the birth of these twins is being taken as a challenge by the doctors.

Although the siblings have separate hands and feet, they are joined from the front, as such their sexes could not be ascertained.

Understanbly so, the doctors are finding the birth of these twins a challenge to their fraternity.

''It is a rare birth, that happens once in every 40-50 thousand cases.'' The medico said the survival chance of these siamese twins was only 22 per cent.
