Centre urged to set up University for Overseas Indian
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 18 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan told the state Assembly today that the government had urged the Centre to set up the proposed University for Overseas Indians in Kerala.
Replying to a submission in the Assembly, he said the state government was willing to provide land and other facilities to the venture.
The Chief Minister said though there was no official information from the Centre regarding the proposal to set up the university, a statement from Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi in this regard had come to the notice of the state government.
