Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, Sep 18 (UNI) Thousands of devotees worshipped the processional deities being taken around the four madda streets in the golden 'Sarva Bhupala Vahanam' on the fourth day of the Sri Vari Brahmotsavams tonight.

Earlier in the morning, Sri Malayappaswamy along with his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi were taken around the mada streets on the 'Kalpa Vriksha Vahanam' and the 'unjal seva' performed in the evening.

Before the 'unjal seva,' sacred garlands from Goddess Sri Andal Temple at Srivilliputtur in Tamil Nadu were taken out in a procession from the Pedda Jeeyangar Mutt to the temple through the mada streets.

The garlands would adorn the deity during tomorrow's Garuda Seva, the main event of the nine-day Brahmotsavams.

Former Rajya Sabha Member and Cine Actor Mohan Babu, TTD Chairman B Karunakara Reddy, TTD Executive Officer K V Ramanachary, Temple JEO Balaramaiah and other officials participated in the procession.

Meanwhile, top police officials visited sensitive places in Tirumala Hills making thorough checks of various places using bomb detection and disposal squads and dog squads in view of the 'Garuda Seva' when scores of pilgrims were expected to participate. UNI
