Benazir will be welcomed on return: Kasuri

Islamabad, Sep 18: Pakistan People's Party chief Benazir Bhutto's return would bring political stability to the country, Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri said.

''We will welcome Benazir on her return to the country,'' Mr Kasuri was quoted as saying by Daily Times.

He said the government wanted to take along all parties and termed the PPP chief's return to Pakistan ''a positive development'' for the general elections.

He said the government wanted to have links with all political parties, including the Nawaz Sharif-led PML-N, and had contacted the party's leadership before the former prime minister's return, but he adopted a ''harsh approach'' towards the government.
