Alert sounded on Indo-Nepal border following Nepal Dev

New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) India today sounded an alert on the Indo-Nepal border in wake of the Maoists pulling out from the Nepal government.

Home Ministry sources said the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) posted on the 1500-km-long border have been alerted and asked to keep a strict vigil along the border.

The state governments of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim have also been alerted in view of apprehensions of increased infiltration across the border following the withdrawal of the Maoists from the government.
