About 100 labourers fell ill after consuming fish

Chennai, Sep 18: About 100 people from Bihar and Orissa fell ill following suspected food poisoning at Nandambakkam on the city outskirts last evening.

The labourers developed nausea and started vomiting and some suffered from diarrhea after consuming fish netted from a nearby river.

Police said 60 of them were admitted to the Communicable Diseases Hospital at Tondiarpet.They had come here to work as construction labourers in an IT Park and were staying in a group.
