3 policemen dismissed for beating youth

Lucknow, Sep 18 (UNI) Three policemen, including a station in charge, were today dismissed for allegedly thrashing a youth in Soro station of Etah district.

The youth, Sunil Kumar, was brought to the police station yesterday after illicit weapons and cartridges were recovered from his possession.

However, he was brutally thrashed by the policemen, sources said.

Station in charge Shri Krishna, constable Balveer and Navab Singh, who flew the coop, have been booked under section 342 and 323 of the Indian Penal Code and dismissed by DGP Vikram Singh.

A search to nab the absconding personnel has kbeen launched.
