MP: 2 killed as truck falls into river

Betul (MP), Sep 18: A truck driver and his helper were crushed to death as the vehicle fell into the Purna river, about 75 km from here, on Betul-Amrawati road yesterday, police said.

The victims were identified as driver Bhagwati and helper Shatrughna. Though water level was less, both were trapped in the cabin, police said. The crockery-laden truck was on its way to Maharashtra from Gwalior.

Meanwhile, 15 tribal labourers were injured when a Harda-bound bus overturned near Timarni yesterday.
