The Holy month of Ramzan begins

New Delhi,Mumbai,Srinagar, Sept.14,2007: Muslims across the country began the month-long period of fasting, prayers and charity with the sighting of the new moon last night ushering in the holy month of Ramzan according to the Islamic calendar.

Muslims across the globe were out at night buying goodies and food in their preparations to start marking the holy month.
