Musharraf eligible for re-election

New Delhi, Sept 16,2007 : According to Pakistan"s Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sher Afgan Niazi, the Election Commission has amended the rules governing the presidential polls, which has cleared the decks for Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's re-election as the President for another five-year term.

Sher Afgan Niazi said that , "The Chief Election Commissioner has amended the rules and now President Musharraf is very much eligible to contest for another five-year term."
