Energy companies at the top

New Delhi, Sept. 15 2007: India"s seven major oil and gas companies have consolidated their position as the world's most effective energy businesses, dominating the rankings in the annual Platts Top 250 Global Energy Companies. Reliance Industries, ONGC and NTPC have grabbed the top Asian ranks.

The two companies have made into the top 50 with rankings of 23 and 39 respectively. ONGC has also been named as the third best performing Energy Company in Asia.
