Top LeT Commander gunned down

Jammu, Sep 17 (UNI) Security forces today gunned down a top district Commander in an encounter in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources told UNI that in a joint operation launched by the Jawans of Special Operation Group (SOG), SSR and 60 Rashtriya Rifles, top Lashkar militant identified as Abu Asrar alias Gaffari was killed.

Superintendent of police, Rajouri T R Katoch said on specific information, a joint operation was conducted in which, Lashkar militant was killed in Gunda area of Rajouri district.

However, one AK-47, three magazines, 90 rounds, one Chinese grenade, pouch and diaries were recovered from the slain militant, SP said.
