Rupee opens steady, stays rangebound

Mumbai, Sep 17: Rupee opened steady at 40.44/46 per dollar today, same as its closing mark on Friday.

Dealers saw Rupee trading in a tight range which, they attributed, is due to the proportional movement in both the demand and supply sides.

During the intra-day, it touched a high of 40.43 per dollar and a low of 40.47 per dollar and is currently (1220 hrs) trading at 40.44/46 per dollar.
