Gold, silver open high on firm global advice

Mumbai, Sep 17: Spot gold and silver today opened higher and silver gained by Rs 115 per kg and gold by Rs 55 per ten gm from their previous close on fresh ornament makers demand along with firm advice from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the opening rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg).999 fineness grade: Rs 17,530, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,335, Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 9,380.
