New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) A city court today rejected the bail plea of Virendra Arora, the co-accused in the fake sting case.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Alok Aggarwal said Virendra Arora had conspired with the main accused Prakash Singh, the Live India reporter, and engineered the fake sting to tarnish the reputation of government school teacher Uma Khurana.

The court also extended the judicial custody of both accused by 14 days.

The airing of the fake sting on August 30 had sparked uproar in the Daryaganj area of central Delhi, near the school where Uma Khurana used to work.

The court had yesterday granted bail to Rashmi, who posed as the student victim in the sting, saying she had participated in the entire episode on the assurance of Prakash Singh that he needed her help to expose the flesh trade racket being run by Khurana.
