Deve Gowda meets Karnataka Governor

Bangalore, Sep 17 (UNI) In a significant development, Janata Dal (S) National President and Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda today held a two-hour discussion with Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur.

The meeting and duration of the discussion assume significance with just a little over two weeks left for the JD (S) to hand over power to its coalition partner BJP.

Mr Gowda left the Raj Bhavan through the back door without meeting the large posse of mediapersons waiting at the main gate.

The JD (S) is scheduled to hand over power to the BJP on October 3.
