Dell introduces new storage solution for SMBs

New Delhi, Sept 17 (UNI) Designed specifically for the small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), IT gaint Dell today introduced the company's latest storage area network (SAN) consolidation solution.

The new product, Dell MD 3000i is easy to use and provide the simplified solution from installation to ongoing maintanence and management, which finally helps business growth, said Dell India Pvt Ltd Director (Enterprise Business) Pallab Talukdar said.

Priced at Rs three lakh and above, the product is quite affordable, simple and has a good capacity, Mr Talukdar said in a press conference.

''The MD3000i delivers features that a few years ago would have only been found on systems costing five to 10 time more,'' Dell Inc Director (Enterprise Storage) Praveen Asthana told reporters here.

The company' market share in the SMBs in the last quarter was eight per cent and through MD3000i, it further aims to strengthen it, Dell India Pvt Ltd Director (Communication) Rajiv Ahuja said.

''The MD3000i is a perfect example of how we drive out costs, drive up functionality, and drive industry adoption of technologies and standards to meet customer needs,'' Mr Talukdar added.
