BSF busts trans-border human trafficking gang

Kolkata, Sep 17 (UNI) Border Security Force (BSF) busted a trans-border human trafficking gang and apprehended ten Bangladeshi nationals on their way to Mumbai via Bornberia village in West Begal, sources said today.

According to BSF sources, the group of Bangaldeshi nationals included two touts, who were taking eight others to Mumbai, yesterday.

The touts hailed from Rajnagar village in Jessore district of Bangladesh, just across the border from North Twentyfour Parganas district in West Bengal.

Two Indian touts, who provided shelter to the Bangladeshis at their residence and accompanied them, however, managed to escape, they said.

Those arrested people were alter handed over to local police, the sources added.

In another incident, Customs personnel arrested five Bangladeshis and seized 50 fake visas from them at Petrapole checkpost when they were on way to Deoband in Uttar Pradesh.
