BJP, Cong playing gimmick over Setu issue: Uma

Barwani, MP, Sep 17 (UNI) Bharatiya Janshakti (BJ) President Uma Bharti today said the BJP and the Congress are playing gimmick over the 'Ram Setu' issue.

Talking to reporters at Sendhwa here today, Ms Bharti held the Centre and senior officials responsible for filing of the controversial affidavit.

She was replying to a question regarding Union Minister Ambika Soni offering to resign over the issue.

The firebrand leader said the UPA Government had put all the beliefs at stake for completing the Setu Samundram project at the earliest. On the other hand, the BJP had never taken its destruction seriously.

She described the BJP's protest over the controversial affidavit as a gimmick.
