SOG's sub-inspector in charge among 6 murder accused
Lucknow, Sep 16 (UNI) Six policemen, including a sub-inspector-in- charge of the Special Operation Group (SOG), were today charged with murder and later suspended in this regard.
In a complaint, Padheel village resident Rajkumar, on September 10, alleged that the SOG team took his brother Pramod Kumar along with them for interrogation. Later, the cops murdered him.
Taking cognizance of the allegations, a probe was ordered into the case.
On the basis of investigation, a case under section 342/302 of IPC was registered at the Iglass police station against sub-inspector-in-charge of the SOG Sanjeev Kumar, constables Durvijay Singh, Sablendra, Rajkumar, Pravin Sharma and Rajesh Kumar, who were later suspended.
