Punjab ministers' warning to private medical colleges
Chandigarh, Sep 16 (UNI) Punjab Medical Education and Research Minister Tikshan Sud today warned the management of private medical colleges not to charge any funds except the prescribed fee at the time of admission.
The minister issued this warning after students of private medical institutions of the state brought to his notice that they were being overcharged by the colleges. The additional charges were in the form of fines, late fee and indiscipline penalty.
Mr Sud categorically directed the management of these colleges not to harass the students by charging extra money otherwise legal action would be initiated against them for flouting the norms.
