One killed and another injured

Mysore, Sep 16 (UNI) One person was killed and another injured when a goods Auto in which they were traveling was hit by Shimoga-Mysore train at K R Nagara in the District today.

Railway Police source said that the mishap occurred when the Auto was trying to cross the tracks when the train was passing through.

Auto Driver Prakash (35) was killed on the spot. The injured was admitted to K R Hospital.

In the impact the vehicle was completely damaged and it was dragged to more than 200 meters from the spot.

However, train traffic was not affected, the sources added.
