Neighbour murders child to settle score over dispute

Rourkela, Sep 16 (UNI) A couple was arrested in Kurei village under Talsara police station in Orissa's Sundergarh district on the charges of murdering a five-year-old kid.

Police here today said Iswar Barik and his wife killed Tusa, son of their neighbour Hiradhar Barik to score over a long standing property dispute between them.

Iswar and his wife lured Tusa to a pond and drowned him to death.

Later the couple buried the body near the pond, police said.

However, police soon recovered the body and arrested the couple.

A case had been registered against the duo and would be forwarded to court for trial, police added.
