Centre surrendered before US imperialism - Dipankar
Patna, Sep 16 (UNI) CPI (ML) national general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya today alleged that the successive governments at the Centre kowtowed before the US imperialism and paved the way for Washington's dominance in the country's policies.
Addressing the state level convention of the party here, Mr Bhattacharya said the US imperialism remained prime agenda of the successive governments following which the country bowed down before the US pressure.
He appealed to the people to be united to resist the ambiguous policies of ''imperial masters.'' He said the country was facing numerous challenges on the political front also issues like as corruption, inequality, casteism and criminalisation.
He said though the CPI(M) had ruled West Bengal for the past 30 years, they had failed to fulfil their promises and rather surrendered before the capitalists.
The convention resolved to make the party's 8th annual session in Kolkata a huge success.
