Robber held, booty seized

Jaunpur, Sep 15 (UNI) A joint team of Special Operation Group (SOG) and police today arrested a robber and seized booty worth Rs 2 lakh here.

A motorcycle was also confiscated from his possession.

Santosh Kumar Singh was nabbed during a vehicle checking drive at Kutturpur crossing, police said.

On interrogation, he confessed his hand in a robbery that took place in Umarpur on April 30.

While one of his aides was also arrested, another managed to escape.

Meanwhile, a reward of Rs 2,500 has been announed for the team.
