Probe begins in Bihar mob lynching case

Patna, Sep 14 (UNI) A high level probe began today on the directive of Chief Minister Mr Nitish Kumar in connection with the case relating to lynching of ten thieves in Vaishali district.

IG (head quarter)Anil Sinha and other senior police officers visited the Dhelpura village and took stock of the situation.

The Additional Director General (ADG) CID Yeshwant Malhotra also visited the spot and inquired about the incident from the villagers. Mr Malhotra said that five separate teams had been constituted to look into all the aspects of the incident and collect information.

'' One of the team is of forensic experts led by DN Chaubey Director, finger prints Forensic Scinece Labouratory (FSL) Patna '', said Mr Malhotra.

''The team will collect samples and match them with the suspect's'', he added.

One of the CID teams will try to identify the attackers in the mob while another team will examine the theft incidents in the past and police responses to the complaints, said the officials.

Earlier Chief Minister had ordered a high level probe into the incident following a review meeting on lynching case yesterday.
